The human and rider physiotherapy service includes both riders and non-riders. For riders the service ensures you are seen by a Chartered Physiotherapist with the goal of treating your injuries and enhancing your horse’s partnership. Rider injuries are very common, however its even more common for these injuries to change how horses’ move biomechanically. A rider physiotherapy appointment includes a thorough musculoskeletal assessment, looking at factors such as control, balance, strength and muscle length on the ground. We can also combine this with a biomechanical and musculoskeletal assessment of your horse both in hand and ridden if you would like!
Following your assessment you will be treated and provided with a tailored physiotherapy rehabilitation plan. The service is mobile therefore it will be done at your property.
So even if you think its a little niggle or a more severe injury, do get in touch and we can help restore any compensations and reduce the risk of future injuries in your horse or yourself.
You also don’t have to be a rider to be treated at Vault. We have over 8 years musculoskeletal experience in the NHS and privately so everyone is welcome.
Physiotherapy treatment might include:
- Tailored exercise programmes
- Myofascial release
- Joint mobilisations
- Kinesiology or sports taping
